THE BRIEF
When the Chairman and a number of Non-Executive Directors of Jersey Sport stepped down in board rotation this year, Jersey Sport were on the lookout for new, equally dedicated and eager individuals to fill their shoes and help lead the organisation in promoting sport across the island.
THE PROCESS/STRATEGY
As the roles are voluntary and not paid, our challenge was to create recruitment adverts that would really stand out in order to attract the right candidates. It made sense to target those individuals already at board level with the right balance of business acumen and sports interest who could drive the island’s sporting initiatives forwards.
We created a recruitment campaign with very clear and direct messaging, (sometimes it’s best to simply say what it is on the tin!) and added a degree of intelligent wit through visual and verbal puns. We designed a selection of creative adaptations that were rolled out across print, digital and social media, and allowed us to refresh the content as required.
THE RESULTS
The campaign was a great success and all positions were filled. Jersey Sport continues to work closer to fulfilling their mission, which is, “To inspire, lead, and enable positive well-being for all islanders through lifelong engagement in sport and physical activity”.
